SecondDesk is built by Alex Barros, a Professional Engineer with 20+ years across electrical, control systems, operations and capital projects. It is being developed with input from real fire protection operators, so the workflow is shaped around actual field paperwork, defect photos and office quoting pressure β€” not software theory.

Do I need to change how my techs work?

No. One photo per logbook page, that's it.

Does this replace Simpro / ServiceM8 / AroFlo / Uptick?

No, it sits beside them.

What happens to my data?

Every report you get is emailed to you as a PDF and an editable Word doc. Once it's in your inbox, it's yours β€” your copy, your backup, your filing system. We keep a working copy on our end for about 90 days so we can reissue or correct a report if you ask, then it's deleted. We don't onsell your data and we don't use it to train anything.

Parts of the stack are hosted overseas, like most software these days. We'll walk you through exactly what goes where during onboarding. If you need strict Australia-only data handling β€” government, health, critical infrastructure β€” tell us upfront so we can work out whether we're the right fit.
